前言
En 2010 los mexicanos conmemoramos los dos hechos históricos que constituyeron a nuestro país: el Bicentenario del inicio del movimiento de Independencia nacional y el Centenario del inicio de la Revolución Mexicana. Es un tiempo propicio para hacer una reflexión en torno a los ideales que impulsaron estos acontecimientos, que redunde en un conocimiento más profundo de nuestro pasado, para comprender mejor el presente y prepararnos para el porvenir. El amplio programa extrafronterizo que se desarrollará a lo largo de ese a?o, contempla un vasto catálogo de actividades donde estarán reflejadas las particularidades pluriétnicas y multiculturales del México contemporáneo.
2010年墨西哥人民紀(jì)念兩個(gè)建國(guó)歷史事件: 獨(dú)立運(yùn)動(dòng)兩百周年和墨西哥革命一百周年。這是反思如何推動(dòng)這些運(yùn)動(dòng)的大好契機(jī)，以此幫助我們更好地認(rèn)識(shí)過(guò)去，理解現(xiàn)在并為未來(lái)做好準(zhǔn)備。跨越墨西哥邊境的廣泛的活動(dòng)將在今年上演豐富多彩的節(jié)目，這將體現(xiàn)我國(guó)多民族、多文化的特點(diǎn)
FOREWORD
IN 2010 MEXICAN CONMEMORATE THE TWO HISTORICAL events that gave form to our country: the bicentennial of the independence movement and the centennial of the Mexican revolution. This is a good time to reflect on the ideas that inspired these events, to help us better understand our past, comprehend our present and be prepared for the future. The extensive program beyond Mexican borders that will take place during this year contemplates an ample catalogue of activities where the ethnical diversities and multicultural particularities of our country will be reflected.

Se atrevió a lo insólito: llamarse el santo en un país de pecadores irredentos, cubrirse el rostro con una máscara plateada para que sus expresiones faciales no le rindieran cuentas a nadie, subirse al cuadrilátero y colocarse del lado de los rudos. La afición a la larga no se lo permitió y cambió de bando, volvió al que pertenecía por la naturaleza intrínseca de su sobrenombre. Y a dos caídas de tres sin límite de tiempo comenzó la leyenda. La gente vitoreaba “Santo, Santo, Santo”, y no hacía falta el artículo, pues ya no era ni el Santo ni uno más, sino Santo, en su más seca y pura expresión. En luchas de máscara contra máscara comprobó que su misterio no iba a desentra?arlo ningún mortal. El emblema de su superioridad fue la llave más clásica del pancracio nacional: la de a caballo. Su llegada y salida del combate era la verificación ritual de su olor de santidad: llegaba en hombros, entre el zapateo sobre la duela y el vitoreo religioso, y salía en hombros, pues un santo no toca el suelo. Luchó, también, contra las lobas, las momias y los monstruos, y desentra?ó los misterios de la Atlántida y el Museo de Cera. Solo ante la muerte aceptó que supiésemos de las facciones de su humana identidad. Un gesto de humildad tardío, pues Rodolfo Guzmán había desaparecido para siempre el primer día que se colocó la máscara, y el que yacía era, acaso, el cuerpo inerte del luchador desconocido.

他挑戰(zhàn)不可思議的事情：給自己打電話身處充滿(mǎn)未得救的罪人的國(guó)家的“圣人”，面戴銀質(zhì)面具以免任何人發(fā)現(xiàn)他的表情，他會(huì)走上擂臺(tái)和勇敢的人站在一起。但是他的粉絲不讓他長(zhǎng)期呆在那，所以他換到了另一個(gè)地方；他回到了由他的名字決定的本應(yīng)該去的地方。按照慣例響起墨西哥格斗背景音樂(lè)，傳奇故事拉開(kāi)序幕。人們呼喊：“圣人、圣人、圣人”，因?yàn)樗辉偈莻€(gè)圣人或者另一個(gè)圣人，但是圣人，在他自然而又本色的表演中文章已完全沒(méi)有必要出現(xiàn)。他通過(guò)面具之間的斗爭(zhēng)證明給他人他的神秘不能被任何人揭露。象征他優(yōu)勢(shì)的是古代國(guó)家競(jìng)技運(yùn)動(dòng)：騎馬。他每次在戰(zhàn)役中出場(chǎng)和退場(chǎng)都是對(duì)他圣潔名聲的確認(rèn)：他在跺腳聲和虔誠(chéng)歡呼聲中利用自己的肩膀來(lái)到人們面前，離去時(shí)，他的信徒們追隨在他后面，因?yàn)槭ト瞬粫?huì)落到地面。他還與狼女人、木乃伊和怪物戰(zhàn)斗，并解開(kāi)了亞特蘭蒂斯和蠟像館之謎。只有在死人面前他才露出他人的真容。人的動(dòng)作為時(shí)已晚，自從Rodolfo Guzmán戴上面具的那一刻他便永遠(yuǎn)的消失了，躺在地上的尸體充其量只是那不知名的戰(zhàn)斗者的軀殼。

EL SANTO: SUPERSTAR
HE DARED THE INCONCEIVABLE: TO CALL HIMSELF “El Santo” in a country of unredeemed sinners, to cover his face with a silver mask so that his expressions would not give him away, to climb the quadrilateral and plant himself next to the heels. But the fans wouldn’t let him stay there for long so he changes sides; he went back to where he intrinsically belonged by virtue of his nickname. And with the rules of Mexican wrestling as background music, the legend began.
People yelled “Santo, Santo, Santo”, the article being totally unnecessary, since he was no longer the saint or just another saint but Santo, in its crudest and purest expression. Fighting mask against mask he proved that his mystery was not for any mortal to uncover. The emblem of his superiority, the most classic move of national pancratium: the horse back hold. His entry and exit from combat was the ritual verification of his odor of sanctity: He arrived carried in shoulders, accompanied by shoe taping and religious cheers, and he left carried by his followers, because a saint doesn’t touch the floor. He fought against wolf women, mommies and monsters and he unraveled the mysteries of Atlantis and the wax museum. Only when faced with death did he allow the world a glimpse into the features of his human identity. A gesture of humanity that came to late, since Rodolfo Guzmán disappeared for ever the day his put on his mask for the first time, and the lying body was, at best, the inert form of the unknown fighter.
